Meet Your Recovery Coach: Tyshaun Perryman

Tyshaun Perryman is an Entrepreneur and Public Health Consultant, Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, LADC II applicant, and Community Engagement Liaison in the public health government sector.

He holds a BA in Mass Communications from North Carolina Central University. He is a person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder and as a result, has taken a non-traditional pathway to a career in public health. He has worked as a Community Engagement Liaison for 2.5 years and as a Recovery Coach for a decade.

Tyshaun has 3 decades of experience in recovery support services, direct care work, and community outreach and engagement. He serves on several community advisory boards and has worked as a community strategic planner/advisor, peer coach, peer mentor, peer advisor, leadership consultant, group facilitator, trainer, and public policy advocate. His purpose is to use his lived expertise/experience to strategically impact and empower organizations, communities, and individuals to create effective sustainable, dynamic, and transformational outcomes.
