About Your Facilitator:

Dianne Pierce, Girls Team Leader

For many years in her career, local Bostonian and human services professional Dianne Pierce witnessed the undue barriers facing children living with complex behavioral challenges. Ms. Pierce has extensive experience as an Applied Behavioral Analyst, as a director of a daycare center and community center, and as a professional in an inclusion classroom. She has also been a specialized foster parent for over 25 years. These credentials allowed her to understand the many ways that current educational and social institutions have disproportionately failed these children and their families. Ms. Pierce envisioned a program that could be accessible, welcoming, and effectively responsive to the unique needs of girls supporting their socio-emotional needs.

In early 2015, Ms. Pierce had a vision to start "Successful Minds" designed to help children enjoy a happier, healthier, and more successful quality of life. The keystone of Successful Minds programming is that all children, regardless of difficulties, are deserving of meaningful opportunities to live, learn, and grow with the support and encouragement of their families and communities.

Ms. Pierce has dedicated her life to serving her community, where she currently works as a first grade teacher. As a committed member of the Greater Love Tabernacle Church, she’s volunteered in children's programs and started the Greater Love Summer Camp. Now, she’s excited to launch a girls group to empower young women and instill in them the values of perseverance and community. Through mentorship and support, she aims to teach girls how to be confident and resilient individuals who build a successful life. Ms. Pierce is a licensed K-2 special needs teacher and holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
